Volt Publishing (Singel Publishers) asked me to illustrate the children’s book: “Travis Montgomery’s Travel Diary” by Victoria Farkas. I made about 100 pencil drawings for this book.
It is the year 2173, and main character Travis (12) goes on a three-week family group trip to Mars with his family. During his journey, Travis keeps a travel diary and draws what he thinks and sees.

“It is the year 2173. You no longer book trips to some unexpected destination on Earth through the travel agency. Mars is now the destination to celebrate your holiday. Earth-Mars returns are more popular than ever. Twelve-year-old Travis Montgomery and his family go on a three-week group tour to Mars.
During his trip, Travis keeps a travel diary. He plans to become a space traveler when he is grown up, and one of the things that a space traveler does is capture everything meticulously. But the journey is not entirely flawless. Actually, everything is different from what is described in the brochure of the travel agency.
And if in a few days the tour leader even gives up and leaves, the trip threatens to run completely wrong. Can Travis save their holiday with his knowledge of Mars, or will this holiday be known as the trip from hell?”
