Illustration database for medical research test subject information forms for minors
Set of illustrations to inform children about the medical treatment they’ll receive, for example when they need medical care or choose to participate in a scientific drug trial.
The illustrations below can accompany the text of a medical leaflet or a Test Subject Information Form / Informed Consent Form (PIF / ICF) and provide children with a better understanding of what they can expect.
These illustrations are originally commissioned by the Leiden University Medical Centre (LUMC). The Test Subject Information Form also refers to the comic book “Anne and the scientific research on the Green-Nose Flu”.

The illustrations may only be used to illustrate Test Subject Information Forms for minors, written in Dutch and to be used in the Netherlands, when based on the Proefpersonen Informatie Formulieren voor minderjarigen form that has been developed by the DCRF workgroup PIF (based on a ZonMw grant awarded to health communication researcher Dr. P. Grootens-Wiegers).
No license has been purchased for use in non-Dutch Test Subject Information Forms, use outside of the Netherlands, and for any other use of the illustrations, whether printed, online, or in any other form. For any other of the illustrations, or if the illustrations need to be changed or modified, please contact illustrator Irene Cecile (www.irenececile.com, 06-36001150, irenececile@gmail.com). A new license will then be issued for a market-based user fee.
